Abstract
Background: Schwannoma is a mostly benign, indolent tumor of Schwann cells, peripheral nervous system glial cells, which can occur anywhere in the body. However, primary schwannomas within the hepatic parenchyma are very rare. A 53-year-old man with no significant history presented with several months of non-specific abdominal pain and was found to have an abdominal mass on ultrasound.
