Abstract

Advanced stage ovarian cancer is accompanied by metastases to the diaphragm in up to 40% of patients. Disease in this area is often cited as a reason for inability to achieve optimal cytoreduction. While reports have described both the safety and feasibility of secondary cytoreduction, including resection of the diaphragm, these primarily focus on an approach via laparotomy.
