Abstract

Technological advancements in spine surgery have paved the way for improved patient outcomes, and robotic-assistance has become a frontrunner in spine research and development. However, its use and understanding is yet to be fully determined. The purpose of this chapter is to highlight the applications of current robotic systems in spine surgery. The chapter focuses on current imaging modalities and their uses, as well as future imaging techniques that may broaden the indications for robotic use, while maintaining optimal outcomes.
