Abstract
This paper describes a concept for an interdisciplinary robot contest that is suitable for distance learning universities. Its usability for project tasks in bachelor courses and for research topics for bachelor theses is shown by comparing several robot contest formats. Adequacy and practicability for different levels during the bachelor courses at a distance learning university are compared. The most suitable contest requirements are then developed into a concept of implementation at the Wilhelm Buchner University of Applied Sciences, Germany’s largest private university for technology. This concept will be included in the 2018 curriculum.
