Abstract
This essay replies to a review essay written by Robert L. Campbell, “An End to Over and Against” ( The Journal of Ayn Rand Studies 13, no. 1), which discussed recent biographical and historical studies of Ayn Rand by Jennifer Burns ( Goddess of the Market: Ayn Rand and the American Right ) and Anne C. Heller ( Ayn Rand and the World She Made ). The main point of discussion is the way in which Ayn Rand and Nathaniel Branden engaged the ideas and practices of modern psychology.
