Abstract
The apprehension of the problem of road accidents was the subject of several investigations. To this end, different approaches were developed. The aim of our work is to provide a synthesis of various approaches developed in the field of road safety, their principles, and the characteristics of the developed models according to these approaches. We started with a presentation of each approach, and models that apprehend the problem of road accidents. Finally, a synthesis table is presented to facilitate reading and characterizing each type of approach.
