${\rm Eu}$- or ${\rm Ce}$-Doped Barium Halide Scintillators for X-Ray and $\gamma$-Ray Detections

Abstract

We report on the scintillation properties of undoped, Eu-, Ce-, and Ce/K-codoped BaCl <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sub> , BaBr <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sub> , and BaI <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sub> single crystals, which were investigated by X-ray excited luminescence, pulse height, and scintillation decay spectroscopy.
