Abstract
El presente texto analiza dos casos de ronggeng, el nombre de bailarina en el baile tradicional tayub o tayuban, que se encuentran en dos novelas: Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, escrita por Ahmad Tohari, y Bawuk, escrita por Umar Kayam, la cual constituye una pequeña parte de la cultura javanesa y que es parte de la diversidad cultural en Indonesia. Este artículo se enfoca en analizar el aspecto socio-religioso en los bailes tradicionales javaneses, particularmente en el caso de ronggeng que se presentaba en siglo XIX y al principios del siglo XX.
