Abstract

Road accidents in modern western societies rank first as causes for mortality and are the main cause for morbidity during adolescence. Risky behavior exhibited by the adolescents is mainly responsible for the higher number of accidents. This review discusses the central influential factors on risky road behavior and the risk of having an accident involving humans and vehicles using statistical data on road accidents. Preventive aspects beyond the training of road behavior will be presented as a conclusion.
