Abstract
Identifying and taking decisions on geological risks is part of de development of Scientific Competence. Teaching secuences on geological risks must promote scientific thinking skills and decision taking habilities. We have designed and applied a teaching activity combining Case Studies and Socio-Scientific Issues methodologies to teach on geological risks. We analize students' skills to identify, give priorities and take actions on geological risks and offer considerations for the design of teaching activities.
