Abstract

Objective: Distension and irrigation of the uterine cavity during fluid hysteroscopy were suspected to cause tumor cell dissemination into the abdominal cavity in patients with endometrial carcinoma. To evaluate the potential risk of spread of endometrial cells through Fallopian tubes at hysteroscopy, and assess the possible spread of malignant cells to peritoneal cavity comparing gas versus fluid distension media.
