Abstract

In 2014, the Papanicolaou Society of Cytopathology (PSC) published terminology guidelines for reporting pancreatobiliary cytology. Recently, a group of international experts convened to update the PSC system for reporting pancreatobiliary cytology. The proposed new system will be named the World Health Organization (WHO) International System. This study retrospectively assesses the risk of malignancy in a previously studied cohort of patients using the proposed WHO International System for reporting pancreatobiliary cytology.
