The Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study included a birth cohort of 1,037 subjects born between April 1972 and March 1973. Initially 91% of the eligible children participated in the first follow-up at age 3 years (1,037 subjects). Subsequent follow-ups were at ages 5, 7, 9, 11, 15, 18, 21, 26, and 32 years.
