Risk management and pharmacovigilance in non-medical prescribing decisions

Abstract

This is the final article in a series of three in which the authors have discussed non-medical prescribing in the context of the law and explored how it applies to the field of aesthetic medicine. The aim of this article is to educate aesthetic practitioners about minimising risks associated with prescribing. The authors will consider the elements of prescribing risk, discuss common drug errors and outline the main types of adverse drug reactions.
