Abstract

According to the point that the risk during construction of karstic tunnels is often happened, this paper, based on a highway tunnel, identified the potential risk in construction through using the GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) geological forecast to detect the surrounding rock. On the basis of the risk identification, the risk can be ascertained, and countermeasures can be taken so as to guarantee the construction safety and reduce the construction risk. The practical engineering situation shows that the utilization of GPR geological forecast to identify the potential risk can provide specific guidance for what countermeasures should be taken so as to avoid the blindness, and can reduce the loss caused by the risk, so the construction needs can be met and the target to provide effective guidance for construction can be achieved.
