Abstract

Endometrial hyperplasia or cancer are rare conditions in young women, however the consequences can be devastating. The diagnosis is made by endometrial sampling, yet this is often not performed in young women with abnormal bleeding due to the uncommon occurrence of these findings and the invasiveness of the procedure. The purpose of this study is to assess characteristics of young women with endometrial hyperplasia or cancer in an attempt to identify risk factors that may warrant endometrial sampling.
