Abstract

(Abstracted from Urogynecology 2024;30:59–64 The standard surgical treatment for stress urinary incontinence is midurethral sling (MUS) placement, due to its excellent efficacy, minimally invasive approach, and low overall rates of complication. However, development of de novo overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms is a known complication of anti-incontinence procedures and previously described as occurring in 5%–32% after fascial sling or Burch urethropexy.
