Abstract

Objective To evaluate the risk factors and outcome in pregnant woman with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) combined with pre-eclampsia. Methods One hundred and nity-eight cases of GDM combined with PE pregnant were selected as the experiment group. A total of 167 cases of GDM were selected as the control group. The incidences of complications of the two groups and laboratory data were recorded. Results The gestational age, birth weight of the experiment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The maternal weight, body mass index (BMI) of the experiment group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The fasting blood glucose (FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), uric acid (UA) of experiment group were significantly higher(P<0.05). The perinatal children cesarean section, premature delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, fetal distress, FGR incidence of the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Lipid and glucose metabolic disorders, increased blood cholesterol and triglycerides, abnormal fasting glucose are risk factors in pregnant woman with gestational diabetes mellitus combined with pre-eclampsia. Therefore, actively monitor and control blood lipids and blood glucose in GDM, can reduce the incidence of PE and improve the perinatal outcome in pregnant women with GDM and newborns. Key words: Gestational diabetes mellitus; Pre-eclampsia; Outcome
