Abstract

The nutrition-based disorder known as obesity and overweight is defined by the buildup of undesirable fat in the body. The risk of various ailments, such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease, etc., is increased by this medical concern. An unhealthy lifestyle, excessive eating, screen time, genes, drugs, and other problems are some of the main causes of obesity. According to statistics on childhood obesity, there were 14.7 million children and adolescents who were obese in the year 2017 to 2020, with a prevalence of 19.7%. And 12.7% of children aged 2 to 5 years, 20.7% of children aged 6 to 11 years, and 22.2% of children aged 12 to 19 years were obese (Centers for Disease Control and prevention, 2022).
