Abstract
Objective To analyze the risk factors of hernia recurrence after gynecological operation combined with laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair and to put forward the corresponding preventive measures. Methods From February 2014 to November 2018, 260 female patients who underwent gynecological operation combined with laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair in Xijing Hospital were selected as the research objects. The basic information, operation conditions and other relevant data of the patients were collected. The patients were followed up to June 14, 2019, with 8 cases lost. According to the follow-up results, the patients were divided into recurrent group (n=36) and non-recurrent group (n=216). The factors that may affect the recurrence of postoperative hernia were analyzed by univariate and logistic multivariate analysis. Results Old age, large BMI, small mesh size and lack of operative experience were all the risk factors of hernia recurrence after gynecological operation combined with laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair (P<0.05). Conclusion Old age, large BMI, small patch size and lack of surgical operation experience are all risk factors of hernia recurrence after gynecological operation combined with laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. Clinical intervention should be timely based on the corresponding risk factors to reduce the risk of postoperative hernia recurrence.
