Abstract

Oil and gas pipelines are likely to be damaged due to various reasons such as external force, corrosion, and pipeline material in the process of operation. The pipeline accident will cause serious economic loss and environmental pollution. Therefore, it is significant to assess the risk of oil and gas pipeline. Considering the difficulty of fully perceiving and quantifying all risk information of the oil and gas pipeline, this paper uses the grey clustering method to make the risk assessment of oil and gas pipeline. We propose a new method for oil and gas pipeline risk assessment based on the integration of entropy weight method and grey clustering method. Finally, a numerical example verifies the effectiveness of this method. It could provide a theoretical basis for oil and gas pipeline risk management and planning.
