Abstract

Objective To have aspiration risk evaluation and intervention on the aged patients of pneumonia combined with hypoproteinemia. Methods From January to December 2015, 52 elderly patients with pneumonia aged 60 or above were selected.According to serum albumin level, 31 patients were divided into low albumin group (albumin <35 g/L).21 patients in the normal albumin group (albumin greater than 35 g/L). Differences in blood routine, hemoglobin, erythrocyte, risk of aspiration, incidence of aspiration pneumonia, length of stay, and nasogastric catheterization were compared between the two groups. Results Hemoglobin and erythrocyte in the low albumin group were lower than those in the normal albumin group, and the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusions Elderly patients with pneumonia and hypoproteinemia are at high risk of aspiration, and early systematic evaluation, intervention and rehabilitation nursing are of great positive significance to the prognosis of the disease. Key words: Senile pneumonia; Hypoproteinemia; Misidentify risk assessment; Intervention
