AbstractThis chapter focuses on risk and safety management in adventure tourism. Sections discuss: (i) litigation, criminal and civil negligence, health and safety law; (ii) risk assessments; (iii) the different types of hazards; (iv) high-risk activities and vulnerable customers; (v) health and safety regulations; (vi) codes of practice; (vii) governing bodies; (viii) staff training, assessments, and qualifications; and (ix) training of customers.
