Abstract

As the biggest beauty pageant in the world that has existed since 1953, Miss Universe celebrated the 70th edition of the competition in Port of Eilat, Eilat Israel. Known as an international highlight country, Israel received a lot of rejection and boycott in hosting this agenda. This article argues that Israel used Miss Universe as a platform to reflect Israel Public Diplomacy in order to maximize Israel promotion. Despite pandemic and boycott, Israel successed in holding Miss Universe back in December 2021. This paper aims to analyse the dynamic of politics in supposedly non-political events such as Miss Universe. This paper uses qualitative methods to collect the data source and Public diplomacy as the modern concept in order to approach this paper.
