Abstract

Measurements of the damping of plasma waves in two-dimensional pools of negative ions trapped below the free surface of superfluid 4He have been used to obtain ripplon-limited ionic mobilities at very low temperatures. The results are compared with earlier measurements on positive ions and with theory.
