Feeding and digestibility experiments were carried out in male growing albino rats to estimate the acceptable amount of Canavalia beans in the diet for monogastric farm animals. A reduced intake and live weight gain was observed with a ration containing 20% beans, but not with those containing 5 and 10% beans. No harmful effects were observed.
