Abstract

DURING the solar eclipse of October 2, 1959, recordings of cosmic noise (extra-terrestrial radio waves) intensities were made with riometers at the Sagamore Hill Radio Observatory of the Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories in Hamilton, Massachusetts. The observing site is 243 ft. above sea-level at 70° 48′ 56″ west longitude and 42° 37′ 51″ north latitude and was directly in the path of totality.
