Abstract
This note provides a summary of the main factors affecting the natural regeneration of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.), in particular light microclimate, water availability, competition and interspecific relationships. Paying attention to the silver fir natural regeneration process in the Oro-Mediterranean region, the possible interactions between these factors are then represented in a simple logical model.
