AbstractTreatment of methylenecyclopropanes (MCPs) with DIAD or DEAD in MeCN under mild conditions in the presence of Lewis acid Zr(OTf)4 gave the cyclobutanone ring‐expansion products in good to high yields based on the employed DIAD or DEAD.
