Abstract

Background: Previous studies have demonstrated favourable haemodynamics with septal pacing compared to apical pacing. Ventricular dyssynchrony due to RVA pacing may contribute to heart failure following pacemaker implantation. Our aim was to study septal versus apical pacing and determine if an association with development of heart failure exists.
