Abstract
Resumo Soberania Alimentar é um conceito multidimensional e um direito dos povos que nasce em oposição ao modelo produtivo capitalista, pautado no agronegócio. Tendo como método o materialismo histórico e uma abordagem dialética, o objetivo central deste artigo é apontar alguns dos limites econômicos, (geo)políticos e jurídicos que se contrapõem à garantia de tal direito em um país de capitalismo periférico, como é o caso do Brasil.
