Abstract

A 66-year-old man with a history of squamous cell carcinoma in-situ presented to the Family Medicine Skin Care Clinic with a rash of several weeks’ duration on his right forearm. The patient had been prescribed topical 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) for treatment of actinic keratoses on his right arm. Over the previous 3 weeks, he’d noticed increasing weeping, scabbing, and redness along his forearm. He reported occasional pruritus and discontinued use of the 5-FU 1 week prior to presentation.What’s your diagnosis?
