Riding the Waves with the Wall Street Journal

Abstract

Cut taxes, cut spending, cut regulation. In accordance with conventional media wisdom, the Wall Street Journal keeps its message nice and simple. And we readers have responded with our hearts as well as our heads. We cheer each time the Journal proposes slashing tax rates, and we recoil when it finds a government program that has not worked. We exult with the Journal over every grain of rice in China converted to private ownership, and we mourn with it every time an American acorn is claimed by the state.
