Abstract
Driving Groupon’s business to the next level is the move from Ruby on Rails to Node.js. The step to Node is part of I-Tier, a larger project that will allow Groupon to horizontally scale applications by moving towards a service oriented architecture and to a more performant stack to serve Web requests. As Groupon continues to converge, connect and globalize, Node.js will continue to play an important role in the technology transformation that will drive Groupon forward. This Nodetalk will share key learnings and major takeaways from these efforts and outline the resulting business impact. SPEAKER: Sean McCullough, Engineer, Groupon From Node Summit 2013 (December 3, 2013)
