Abstract

In this paper is presented an original method, developed by the authors, in order to extract the ridges of the polynomial frequency modulated signals covered by a low-pass filtered Gaussian noise, using Short-Time Fourier Gabor and Wigner-Ville time-frequency representations and mathematical morphology elements. In the paper are also presented practical results obtained for generated polynomial modulated chirps.
