Abstract
The material behavior of the shell and the rib is linearly elastic, and the material is homogeneous and isotropic. The solution of a ribbed shell under a concentrated load is obtained by considering the shell and the rib separately. The interaction forces are expanded in Fourier series, and then the solutions of the ring and the shell uner the interaction forces are obtained
