Abstract

A 42 year-old man first developed a palindromic rheumatism on november 1988. We noted an hepatomegaly, a weight loss and lymphadenopathies on april 1990. Abdominal pain, fever and diarrhea occured on novembrer 1990. Intestinal biopsies showed infiltration of the lamina propria by PAS positive macrophages. In patients presenting with palindromic rheumatism, diagnosis of Whipple's disease must be considered and an upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy with intestinal biopsies must be performed.
