Abstract

An 80-year-old patient had right upper limb weakness with dysarthria and fever. Cerebral imaging objectified rhombencephalitis. West Nile virus (WNV) serologies in CSF and serum as well as PCR in CSF were positive. The patient fully recovered with symptomatic treatment. Rhombencephalitis is a rare localization of WNV infection.
