Abstract

AbstractThe International League Against Rheumatism, with its regional components, is a nongovernmental organization of professional and voluntary national societies engaged in the study and control of rheumatic diseases. It maintains official relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, for technical guidance of public health authorities in problems of rheumatology. The American Rheumatism Association (ARA), which started as a United States Committee for the International League, has engaged to a limited degree in international health activities.
