Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease affecting joints, with risk factors including age, gender, genetics, and environmental exposures. Complications, such as joint damage, rheumatoid vasculitis, and Felty syndrome, underscore the need for effective management. Treatment modalities, ranging from Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) to physical therapy and surgery, aim to alleviate symptoms and prevent further damage. While there is no cure for RA, ongoing research explores emerging therapies and precision medicine approaches. A multidisciplinary approach is crucial, tailoring treatment to individual needs for optimal outcomes and improved quality of life. Regular monitoring and adjustments to the treatment plan are essential aspects of RA management.
