Abstract

This paper presents the laboratory test results of rheological properties of asphalt mixtures for bridge pavements. The research plan included typically used asphalt mixtures - asphalt concrete (AC) and stone mastic asphalt (SMA). A new type of mixtures, SMA-MA, were also tested. These mixtures were tested for their stiffness in different temperatures and varied frequencies. The following parameters were identified - dynamic modulus and phase angle. The results of this research proved that these types of asphalt mixtures affect the viscoelastic properties and durability of bridge pavements.
