Abstract

ABSTRACT The mechanisms responsible for desirable rheological and physical properties of fracturing foams and emulsions are essentially identical for both types of fluids. Laboratory data shows the conversion from emulsion to foam for certain combinations of water and a volatile discontinuous phase causes no appreciable change in rheological properties of the fluid.
