Abstract

The field of condition monitoring has made great strides in the development of innovative techniques that facilitate early detection and diagnosis of faults in equipment. Present article provides a comprehensive overview of condition-monitoring technologies, namely, ultrasound technique and radiography. By providing detailed insight into the strengths and weaknesses of mentioned techniques, present work highlights their suitability for various industrial applications and how artificial intelligence and machine learning can be integrated to form multimodal systems that improve overall performance. Additionally, it evaluates developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning that enable accurate and reliable condition monitoring systems.
