Abstract

Begun in 2012, the South Station Hoard is a collaborative effort to imagine, construct, and document a speculative treasure trove left by tween girls. In this essay, I introduce our project, the collaboration it inspired between my artist colleagues and myself (an Art Historian), and the directions it has taken since its initial presentation at the BABEL 2012 conference in Boston, MA. One aim of this essay is to be a safe repository (or even a sort of hoard) for us to store the memories of our collaboration.
