Abstract
In this tutorial article, it is shown that in the band-stop configuration, the notch level in the Wien network can be reduced to almost zero, and in the band-pass configuration, the peak level can be increased to almost unity, by choosing the elements properly. The price to be paid is a reduction of Q in both cases.
