Abstract

A theoretical model of petroleum reservoir engineering process with high viscosity oil using the technology of double horizontal wells is proposed. Numerical solutions of the problem in a two-dimensional formulation are obtained. With this method of producing high viscosity oil the efficiency of oil reservoir development can be increased by ensuring uniform heating of the developed zone of the field. The proposed model allows us to trace the two-dimensional picture of oil filtration in the reservoir and investigate the main regularities of the process. The costs for oil reservoir heating, flow rate development and changes in the mass of pumped oil in the initial period of well operation are determined. The obtained solutions for a long stretch of time were extrapolated.
