Abstract

Latin American and Caribbean cities share a common history regarding the influence of foreign urban ideas. These ideas, categorized as pioneering or avant-garde, in most cases were conceived in relation to European and North American experiences, and implemented even simultaneously in several cities across the region. Adrian Gorelik, Arturo Almandoz, Alicia Novick and Guillermo Jajamovich, are the authors whose works have been taken to start building a bibliographic reference able to guide the flow of urban ideas studies in the region.
