Abstract

In this bibliographic review an analysis is analyzed from a general approach on Neurocysticercosis, this infection generally caused by larval cysts presents a negative result on human health, its infection and spread process in the human body implies the development of problems health, generally causing cysticercosis. Using a descriptive methodology, a compilation of updated information is carried out from indexed journals and scientific articles in which the characteristics of this infection, infectious process, causes and effects on the human organism and treatments applied to mitigate the infection are detailed. In conclusion, this infection requires immediate medical attention, the diagnosis of neurocysticercosis requires high precision medical equipment to determine the progress of the infection in the body and avoid serious health problems in humans. Determining the symptoms in time and a medical check-up allows us to recognize the presence of these parasites and prompt intervention to eliminate the larvae through surgery.
