Abstract
The spectrum of Cd-like Pr XII ion excited in laser-produced plasma and vacuum spark sources in the far VUV region was investigated. The analysis was based on the extrapolation of energy parameters along the Cd I isoelectronic sequence, from Xe VII through Ce XI. 136 spectral lines were classified in the Pr XII spectrum out of which 130 are newly classified lines. 82 out of 84 levels belonging to the 5s5p, 5p2, 5s5d, 4f2, 4f5s, 4f5p, 4f5d, 5p5d, 5s5f and 5s6p configurations have been established. Least-squares-fitted (LSF) and Hartree Fock (HF) calculations were carried out to interpret the level structure of the Pr XII ion.
