Abstract
I had temporarily forgotten about it. It had been weeks, going on months, since I spent the day formatting the text, entering the key words, uploading the tables and the blinded manuscript, reviewing the final PDF and then pressing the button to submit the manuscript. Similar to a teenager scanning the lunchroom tables at a new school, I was looking for an audience that would not only accept me, but appreciate my work and understand its value. Our manuscript – our baby – was born after countless hours of labor, and now I was handing it off to a stranger to critique.
